Darfur Flag Exhibit Confuses World's Tiniest Golfer

Published Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

The world's tiniest golfer, coincidentally a sophomore at Brown University, has been completely confused by the flag display on Lincoln Field intended to raise awareness about the situation in Darfur.

The 12-handicapper and 8 cm tall golfer, Eric Leipson '10, doesn't know which way to play his next shot.

"None of these flags have numbers on them and the holes aren't labeled. I don't know where to play," said Leipson. "And it's not made any easier by the fact that this amazing golf complex has twenty-five courses."

The creators of the flag demonstration have tried to explain to Leipson that the display isn't an internationally renowned golf course complex/short game school. Leipson, however, could not be persuaded.

"We tried to explain to him what it was, but he just kept saying that it was about time a tiny golf course was designed in Providence," said Darfur Action Network President Laura Jolow '09.

Despite being able to play golf, Leipson still faces serious obstacles as the tiniest golfer ever.

"Weather is a big problem because when it rains it floods. And I still can't find the world's tiniest caddy."
