The Blognonian released a second iteration of Brown Datamatch results yesterday morning, and according to several individuals who participated, it only matched people with the blog’s staff.
“I was scrolling through and all of my matches were with Blognonian staffers,” said junior Kerri Slane. “I think two were from the photo team, at least five of them were bloggers, and one was a managing editor. My match score with all of them was 100%.”
Other students reported matching with different sets of the Blognonian staff. Most quickly received messages from staff members remarking on how “funny it is that they matched.”
“I got a message from the editor-in-chief saying ‘looks like we’re 100% compatible lol,’” said sophomore Brian Willey, “then I immediately got 7 more messages from other people. I checked all of their profiles, and they all said that they work for Blognonian.”
“Pretty crazy coincidence,” he added.
Later that day, the Brown Daily Herald was polling students asking if they would be up for a coffee date.
