Brown Makes Vaccine Available To High-Risk Groups, Like BDH Readers

Published Friday, February 5th, 2021

In an effort to protect its most vulnerable community members first, the University has announced plans to begin vaccinating high-risk groups such as readers of the Brown Daily Herald. “We’re prioritizing vaccines for those under circumstances that put them at heightened risk of COVID-19 infection, one of which is frequent BDH readership,” said School of Public Health Dean Ashish Jha in a statement urging any fans of the daily student newspaper to quickly seek vaccination. “If you or anyone you know has experienced a tendency to read The Herald online or — god help you — in print, you should contact Health Services as soon as possible to schedule your first shot. In the meantime, I would strongly recommend curbing your outside contacts and your consumption of Brown Daily Herald stories.” Jha also implored anyone who has ever read The Indy to call Brown EMS for immediate medical attention.
