Through a recent email addressed to the entire Brown community, the Brown University CareerLAB announced an exciting rebranding initiative involving a name change and absolutely nothing else.
“Our goals have been quite simple since our founding: we want to help connect you to your dream career opportunities,” stated the university-wide email. “Due to limiting factors, such as the constraining ‘CareerLAB’ name, we were never able to fully support our students. Now that the sign in front of our building has been changed, we are thrilled to finally assist the community with every and any career need!”
The all new Center for Career Exploration was made possible through the tireless efforts of staff and students alike, who without their assistance, the center would still have to be called the CareerLAB.
“The newly advanced and innovative center will allow us to continue our old efforts while giving us the space to grow,” continued the email. “Before, a student was only able to meet with a career counselor at the CareerLAB. Now, a student will have the opportunity to meet with a career counselor at the Center for Career Exploration. This change is nothing short of extraordinary.”
At press time, Brown Dining Services announced a complete overhaul in nutritional practices involving a shift from vegetable oil to olive oil for frying.
