Classmate Just Had Lazy Summer in Hometown and Rome and Copenhagen and Barcelona

Published Friday, September 22nd, 2023

As Brown University students begin classes for the fall semester, your classmate Owen Wrigley revealed that he had a pretty boring summer in his hometown and Rome and Copenhagen and Barcelona.

“Yeah, I honestly didn’t get up to much,” Wrigley reminisced, sporting a smooth tan from the beaches of Spain, where he spent approximately four weeks at his family villa. “Just kicking around my hometown on Long Island!”

“You know, classic suburban summer life, plus a few little trips. I got pretty bored at home, so most nights I just drove around on the same streets as always,” continued Wrigley, who had just finished decorating his dorm with postcards from his friend group’s trip to Rome. “Spent a lot of time cooking with my mom, helping my sister learn to drive, just enjoying the simple pleasures, and also visiting a couple different continents.”

“But boy was it exhausting to spend all summer in my same old hometown and Paris and Tokyo and Granada,” said Wrigley, who racked up 40,000 airline miles from this summer’s travels. “I’m really excited to be back to the hustle and bustle of Providence!”

At press time, your classmate from DC just finished up an internship at a quaint local organization called the US Capitol.
