Preparing his scalpel for a routine tendonitis surgery, doctor Reggie Cromley hoped, once again, that he would discover a new bone during the procedure. “Every time we open someone up, I do some digging,” the doctor confessed, rubbing his hands together in anticipation as he imagined making such a groundbreaking discovery. “It never hurts to take an extra look around just to see if there are any new bones. The adult body has 206 bones. There’s definitely room for error there. All I’m saying is if there are bones that haven’t yet been discovered, I’m going to be the one to find them. They’ll write about me in medical journals everywhere!” At press time, an area lawyer was fantasizing about discovering a new law.
