Friends and acquaintances of Daniel Gammon ‘17 confirm that the first-year from Toronto definitely knows who else is from Canada, especially public figures who everyone thinks are American. “James Cameron is actually from Canada,” said Gammon, who apparently possesses a comprehensive knowledge of every notable person who is Canadian. “Yeah, Ryan Gosling is a really good actor. He’s from Canada too. That’s where I’m from. He’s from Ontario, which is the province I grew up in. Provinces are like states,” said Gammon when his roommate brought up the Ryan Gosling movie “Drive.” Gammon then went on to tell his hall-mates that Anne Hathaway isn’t Canadian, but she once said in an interview that she really likes Vancouver.
