In an effort to appeal to a younger target demographic, hip marketer Jessica Descalso suggested that her client California Raisins change the letter “S” at the end of their product’s name to a “Z”.

“Your company needs some new branding tactics,” explained Descalso. “California Raisins are out of date. But California ‘Raisinz’ change the game.”
“This marketing strategy is completely groundbreaking,” argued Descalso to the heads of the multinational company. “People will take notice of this change. Raisins are old and boring, but ‘raisinz’ are new and exciting. They’re edgy, and not afraid to break the rules.”
Upon finishing her pitch, Descalso raised the idea of changing the “C" in California to a “K".
