Picking up his pace and growing gradually more suspicious, Lenny Priest can’t shake the feeling he’s following someone. Priest, who has been walking behind the same man for several blocks, says he has grown increasingly worried that he is tailing this person on purpose and that he intends to harm him.
“You’re being paranoid,” said Priest to himself as he lowered his head and kept his hands in the pockets of his black trench coat. “You just happen to be going to the same places as him. It’s all a big coincidence.”
His heart pounding as the man looked nervously over his shoulder, Priest pushed through a small crowd of people in the park, muttering “Out of my way!” without knowing why.
“Okay, no, you are definitely following him,” thought Priest, following the man across the street just to make sure. “Don’t panic Lenny. Maybe you’re not even trying to abduct him. Maybe you went to high school together or something.”
After taking a third unnecessary turn to stay behind the stranger, Priest started to seriously question whether or not this man should call the police.
“I can’t believe this is really happening to him,” thought Priest as the man dropped his bag and started running away.
At press time, an absolutely terrified Priest broke into a sprint and screamed, “Come back here you! You can run, but you can’t hide!”
