Senate proceedings were briefly interrupted this Wednesday, when several mean-spirited senators put Sen. Harry Reid at number three on their “Hottest Girls in the Senate” list.
“Really funny, guys,” Reid remarked as he attempted to remove the list, which had been taped to the door of the Senate where everyone in the whole Senate could see it. “You guys are jerks. Why don’t you grow up?”
He added, “I’m gonna tell Mr. Biden and you’re gonna get in trouble.”
Reid, who proceeded to vote against every bill for the rest of the day, reminded the senators of the potential consequences of their bullying. “Forget about getting invited to my birthday,” exclaimed Reid during a vote on a bill to increase defense spending. “There’s gonna be an Iron Man bounce house and my pool’s even gonna be heated, so it’s gonna be really fun.”
At press time, Reid was tattling on his fellow senators to Vice President and President of the Senate Joe Biden, who encouraged Reid to ignore bullies, as they usually tease their victims because they themselves are insecure and often members of the Republican Party.
