Paxson Gently Reminds Dean Zia His Batman Mask Not Protecting Anyone From COVID

Published Friday, October 30th, 2020

Frowning and shaking her head with concern as she passed by Dean Rashid Zia, President Christina Paxson gently reminded the Dean of the College that his Batman mask wasn’t protecting anyone from COVID.

“Now, Rashid, we talked about this,” Paxson whispered, pulling Zia aside to delicately chide him for his mistake. “The Batman mask covers everything except what needs to be covered, remember? I know it looks really cool, but if we can see your mouth, that’s no good. See how my mask covers all the parts your mask leaves open? That’s how yours needs to be, too.”

Doing her best not to draw unneeded attention to the situation, Paxson quietly encouraged Zia to run along home and switch out his latex Batman mask for a cloth face mask.

“Yes, of course you can still wear the cape,” Paxson assured Zia, promising him he can wear the rest of his Dark Knight costume any time he wants as long as he wears the right mask with it. “You can even wear your Bane mask instead if you make sure to cover your nose and mouth. Just please don’t do your Bane voice in front of any students or administrators, okay?”

Ever since Paxson scolded him, Zia has reportedly stayed fully covered in his spandex Spiderman suit.
