After slamming back a few beers with her nineteen-old friend Lukas, Brown University President Christina Paxson drove to Sting Ray Tattoo Parlor and got the Chinese symbol for unity tattooed on her bicep. “Unity is important to me,” said Paxson before bumming one of Lukas’ cigarettes. “Our student body is strongest when we’re all working together. It hurt a lot, but hopefully my unity tat is a step in the right direction.” At press time, Paxson was inviting students to smoke from a peace pipe with her on the main green.
