Sources report that the strict parents in a Disney movie are actually making some pretty great points.
“So a mysterious old man told you you’re the chosen one and you’re just going to believe him?” the very reasonable parents told their ten-year-old. “Can you use your magic powers right now? No? So how do you know you’ll be able to use them when you’re in actual danger?”
“Even if you were the chosen one, you still have value outside of that. You shouldn’t feel obligated to go on this quest to save the world,” the parents explained, raising some very sensible concerns that their son should really take into consideration. “Even if you do have the power of friendship and hope on your side, neither of those things guarantees your safety.”
At press time, a Disney prince and princess’s relationship was actually full of red flags.
