Subway Commuters Treated To Impromptu Performance By Some Guy

Published Sunday, October 27th, 2013

Riders on New York’s R train were delighted on Thursday morning when some random dude got up and shared his melodic singing voice with the whole subway car.

“I can’t believe I just saw that guy perform,” said commuter and audience member Brenna Pierson. “I was having such a humdrum day, and then this complete stranger who’s wearing two different shoes just gets up and gives us this intimate performance. Absolutely breathtaking.”

Pierson added that the unidentified guy was generous enough to speak with individual subway riders after his performance, and even gave passengers a glimpse into his creative process when he told passengers he was "doing this for the love.”

“It was such an honor to see that random passenger give such a raw performance to us,” said Lucy McFadden. “At one point he was singing directly to me, and I just couldn’t believe I was really having this moment with some completely unknown person who sings off-key on the subway,” she added.

R train commuters also noted that the guy was extremely generous with his time, entertaining passengers with over five minutes of glimmering vocal performance. Subway riders added that they were happy to give the man all the cash they had on them, saying that the chance to finally see the random dude live was totally worth it.
